Antique Coins

There are literally thousands of variations of antique masonic coins, most of which are called mark tokens and are a ceremonial coin used in one of the rituals. While some masons collect mark tokens they have little to no intrinsic value. The three categories of masonic coins that do have intrinsic value are coins that commemorate an event, commemorate a particular mason or were used as currency. This is because these coins were produced in limited numbers and have a famous person or event associated with them. The coins that served as currency are increasingly rare and highly sought after. We have two PDF documents that can give you more information on masonic medals and coins here and here.
