Masonic Antiques & Collectables

Aerolux manufactured gas discharge light bulbs between 1930 all the way up until the 1970s. Highly collectable, the bulbs have become quite rare and highly sought after. Unlike conventional bulbs, these bulbs consumed only 3-5 watts of power but did not put out huge amounts of light. They were mostly decorative which contributes in large part to their collectibility. Three versions were created that relate to the fraternity, the Square and Compass, the Shriner Emblem and the OES Emblem. Although there is a modern version made in China of the square and compass version, however unlike it's antique counterpart, it burns outs after a few hundred hours, unlike the aerolux models which are known to burn for years.
