Adlesworth - The Lady FreemasonModel # 363853The legend of Lady Aldworth is well known in the UK and even earned a spot in the museum found in the Grand Lodge of Ireland in Dublin. It found a place in the history of masonry as the only legitimate occurrence of a woman being admitted into the fraternity of Freemasons. According to legend, in 1712 Elizabeth Aldworth was asleep in the other room when she heard the ongoings on a very small lodge being presided over by her father. After discovering her presence, the small rural lodge decided it had no choice but to initiate her and bind her to keep the secrets of freemasonry safe. To this day, she remains the only female freemason to exist. Available in 8.5 x 11 only. This is a reproduction, not an original.
