Norman Peale

Born May 31, 1898 Initiated Raised Died December 24, 1993 Norman Vincent Peale was born on May 31, 1898 in Bowersville, Ohio. Peale is best known for his book "The Power of Positive Thinking", which drew much praise and criticism within the circles of religion and psychology. He is also renowned for founding The Horatio Alger Association which recognized Americans who have overcome extreme adversity, the Positive Thinking Foundation, Guidepost Publications, and the Pale Center. Peale was made a Mason in Woodbridge Lodge, served the Grand Lodge of New York as Grand Chaplain, and held a life membership in the Crescent Shrine Temple where he served as the Imperial Grand Chaplain. Brother Peale was called from labor on December 24, 1993.
