Alphonse Maria Mucha was born on July 24, 1860 in Ivančice, Moravia, which is presently the Czech Republic. Mucha is a celebrated artist who is renown for his unique Czech Art Nouveau styling and designs. Mucha inspired arts movements in Czechoslovakia, and Paris with his eclectic art nouveau techniques. Alphonse Mucha was Initiated in Paris, France in 1898, and is credited as the founder of Czech Freemasonry. In 1923, Brother Mucha served as Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Czechoslovakia. Brother Mucha was called from labor on July 14, 1932.
