Charles Warren

Born February 7, 1840 Initiated December 30, 1859 Raised Died January 21, 1927 Sir Charles Warren was born on February 7, 1840 in Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales. Warren was a renown Archeologist and Freemason. Among his most famous work, was his excavations in Jerusalem and surveying Herod's Temple. Warren is also well known for serving as the Founding Worshipful Master of the famed Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076. Sir Warren also served as the London Metropolitan Police Commissioner from 1886 to 1888. Charles Warren was initiated on December 30, 1859 at Royal Lodge of Friendship No. 278 in Gibraltar. There he served as Worshipful Master in 1863. Later, Brother Warren would serve the United Grand Lodge of England as Grand Deacon in 1887, and District Grand Master of the Easter Archipelago from 1891 to 1895. Brother Warren was called from labor on January 21, 1927.
