Audie Leon Murphy was born on June 20, 1925 in Kingston, Texas. Murphy is one of the most highly decorated American soldiers who fought in combat during WWII. The U.S. Military presented Murphy with every possible combat valor award available, including the Medal of Honor. On February 14, 1955, Murphy was initiated at North Hollywood Lodge No. 542 in Hollywood, California and later became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason In Dallas, Texas, a Shriner at Hella Temple, a “Master of the Royal Secret” in the Valley of Dallas and decorated a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor. He was affiliated to Heritage Lodge No. 764, North Hollywood, Al Malaikah Shrine Temple, Los Angeles, and The Long Beach Scottish Rite Consistory. Brother Audie Murphy was called from labor on May 28th 1971 at the age of 45 and is laid to rest with full military honors at the Arlington National Cemetery.
