Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Born January 30, 1882 Initiated October 10, 1911 Raised Died April 12, 1945 Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. Roosevelt became the 32nd President of the United States in 1933, and is the only president in U.S. history to have served four terms. From 1933-1945, he lead the nation through the Great Depression and World War II. Among many of his groundbreaking accomplishments, he is well known for his contributions to foreign and domestic policies and the formation of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and Social Security programs. Franklin D. Roosevelt was initiated into the fraternity of Freemasons at Holland Lodge No. 8 in New York City on October 10, 1911. Eighteen years later, he became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and later, a Noble in the Cyrus Shrine Temple, AAONOMS in Albany, New York, and a Prophet of the Tri-Po-Bed Grotto, MOVPER. Roosevelt also made Honorary Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Georgia and the Order of Demolay. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was called from labor on April 12, 1945 at the age of 63, and is laid to rest at the Rose Garden of the Springwood Estate in Hyde Park, New York.
