Chetwode Crawley

Born November 15, 1843 Initiated 1873 Raised Died March 13, 1916 Dr. Chetwode Crawley was born on November 15, 1843. Crawley faithfully served for many years at the Queen's Service Acadamy in Dublin as Head Master. In 1881, Trinity College in Dublin elected him a life member of their senate. Crawley was also the Chairman of Dublin Council of Teacher's Guilds and sat on the council of Dublin University. Crawley is renown for his contributions to Masonic Literature as having over 20 papers published in Ars Quatuor Coronatorum. Crawley was initiated in 1873 at Scientific Lodge No. 250. Crawley served as Worshipful Master of Trinity College Lodge No. 357, Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Instruction, and Senior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of British Columbia. Crawley also served the Grand Lodge of Ireland as Grand Inner Guard in 1881, Grand Sword Bearer in 1884, Grand Steward in 1887, and Grand Treasurer from 1904 to 1915. Brother Chetwode Crawley was called from labor on March 13, 1916.
